Junior Accountant

Junior AccountantThis is a contract opportunity.This is a 100% remote position.About this positionWe’re looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Junior Accountant to support inventory accounting accuracy and financial integrity. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing, reconciling, and analyzing various financial adjustments that directly impact the Stock Ledger and enable better forecasting, planning, and reporting. This is a fully remote position ideal for someone who is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working independently.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and reconcile financial adjustments to maintain Stock Ledger accuracy and support planning and forecasting.Research and resolve errors in daily transaction reports and respond to cross-functional department inquiries.Develop and distribute reports on inventory valuation and shrink trends.Ensure compliance with SOX controls for audit readiness and participate in process improvement initiatives.Perform ad-hoc reporting and review peer-prepared adjustments for accuracy.Skills/RequirementsIntermediate accounting knowledge and retail accounting experience is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic formulas.Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Ability to communicate clearly and build cross-functional relationships.Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.Additional InformationLocation: RemoteSchedule: Full-time | Standard business hoursContract Duration: Temporary role with potential for extensionTeam Environment: Finance/Accounting with strong cross-department collaborationPay RangePay Rate: $23/hourYUPRO Placement is the nation’s leading skills-first placement firm placing and promoting historically overlooked talent into permanent hire, apprenticeship, and contract job assignments.
