 Platform Distribution & Partnerships (formerly Content Distribution) is a division of NBCUniversal's media group responsible for the distribution and monetization of the company’s multi-billion-dollar linear and streaming services portfolio to pay-tv providers, NBC broadcast affiliates, consumer technology platforms and devices, and consumer brands. A key revenue-generator, the division is comprised of content distribution, affiliate relations and strategic partnerships across NBC, Peacock, Bravo, Telemundo and various FAST channels. Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: Digital: This team is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships with NBCUniversal’s distribution partners and networks, tracking content rights, monitoring VOD availability across all VOD platforms, ensuring compliance with distribution deals and successful execution of VOD content on various platforms. The team also leverages initiatives, content curation opportunities, business needs and related analytics to drive digital programming strategy, user engagement and revenue growth. The intern will have exposure to key business and technology drivers that contribute to successful launches and product experiences on VOD platforms.  Marketing: The Comms, Marketing, and Strategy team represents the entire NBCU portfolio of networks from broadcast (NBC), to Sports (Golf Channel), to News (MSNBC, CNBC, NBC News), to Entertainment (USA, SYFY), to Lifestyle (Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Universal Kids), to Hispanic (Telemundo, Universo) and also includes major NBCUniversal tentpoles (Olympics, FIFA World Cup). We provide support to our distribution partners on behalf of our networks, ranging from event access, experiential opportunities, and marketing materials/toolkits to help drive awareness for NBCU’s major programming priorities and initiatives across all platforms. Sales: Intern will support the Content Distribution Sales team that negotiates the distribution rights of the NBCUniversal broadcast/cable portfolio, the Peacock app and FAST channels in the United States. Interns will learn about the media landscape and, specifically, how NBCU network distribution contracts are managed. Account support will be focused on, but not limited to, DirecTV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Verizon and several other partners.
