Non-Supervisory role to assist and provide effective communications for maintenance team, reporting to Maintenance Manager.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:Facilitates maintenance work requests from production floor, determines priority and ensures  coworkers are aware of priority and assignmentsEnsures team members comply with all safety and good Manufacturing Practices, leads 6S efforts for maintenance shop  Communicates to production, maintenance management,  and quality assurance equipment break downs and estimated time needed to complete repairsConfers with vendors, management, engineering and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipmentConducts meetings at the end of each shift to update incoming maintenance personnel on status of break downs, repairs, and troubleshooting done during the previous shift.Conducts meeting at start of shift to go over shift priorities and assignments as well as training.Actively participates in preventive/predictive maintenance processes.Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of maintenance policies and procedures.This is a hands on position, carrying out maintenance work along with the team and setting a high example in your work.Other duties may be assigned
