Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the IT Service Technician is to manage and respond to incoming IT service requests promptly and effectively. This involves troubleshooting technical challenges, collaborating with other teams for comprehensive resolutions, and managing hardware/software procurement, configuration, and deployment. Additionally, the role requires the maintenance of technical documentation and active participation in team meetings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide timely and effective support for Level 1 and Level 2 IT service requests, ensuring business continuity and high service standards.Manage incoming requests through various channels and provide regular updates to requesters until resolution, in line with agreed service levels.Troubleshoot technical issues, implement resolutions, and collaborate with relevant teams when necessary.Procure, configure, and deploy hardware and software in accordance with department policies, budget, and managerial approval.Maintain technical documentation, participate in team meetings, and improve troubleshooting abilities, time management, and communication skills.
