The starting rate for this position is: $16.08 Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position. Job Summary Under the direction of a Radiologist and staff technologist, performs radiographic procedures. Performs a variety of technical procedures with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. Participates in coverage for the daily Radiology operations. Limited to the day and evening shift while working with at least two other registered/licensed staff technologists. Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulations.

Knowledge of radiologic safety, protection, cleanliness, and infection control policies and regulations.

Knowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance.

Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

Ability to work well independently with indirect supervision.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.

Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality.

Comply with all HIPAA regulations.

Customer Service Oriented. Friendly, cheerful, and helpful to patients and others. Ability to meet patients and others needs while following office policies and procedures.

Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities.

Display a positive attitude and is a positive agent for change.

Work as part of a team and collaborate with co-workers.

Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.

Education and Experience

Enrolled in a formal Radiologic Technologist education program. Must be Senior year, second semester student in accredited school for Radiologic Technology.

Theoretical instruction combined with clinical experience.

Must complete ARRT exam within 1 year of graduation.

Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.

Patient Care and Customer Service experience preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Three to five years of experience in the Respiratory Therapy field and Pulmonary Function Testing preferred

An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

Must p ossess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Lifting/carrying frequently up to 35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
