The starting rate for this position is: $16.08 Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. Job Summary Under the direction of a Radiologist and staff technologist, performs radiographic procedures. Performs a variety of technical procedures with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. Participates in coverage for the daily Radiology operations. Limited to the day and evening shift while working with at least two other registered/licensed staff technologists. Education and Experience
Enrolled in a formal Radiologic Technologist education program. Must be Senior year, second semester student in accredited school for Radiologic Technology.
Theoretical instruction combined with clinical experience.
Must complete ARRT exam within 1 year of graduation.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
Patient Care and Customer Service experience preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Three to five years of experience in the Respiratory Therapy field and Pulmonary Function Testing preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must p ossess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Lifting/carrying frequently up to 35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
