Reporting to the Principal in charge of our New York Region, the Managing Director of Special Inspections Operations will plan, manage, and oversee the activities and operations of our regional inspections functions. This leader will be responsible for developing and growing this technical team, ensuring the efficient execution of projects. They will be fully accountable for P&L results and decisions.This role involves overseeing the inspections in our New York building market, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, managing a team and delivering a steady growth. The Managing Director will also be responsible for strategic planning, client relations, and ensuring the highest levels of quality and integrity in all inspection activities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the department’s defined utilization targets in accordance with billable hour requirements.Be accountable for the P&L resultsDevelop the marketing and sales strategy to ensure a sustainable growth going forwardProvide strategic direction and leadership to the Special Inspection departmentOversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all testing and inspection activitiesDevelop and implement the creation of new operational protocols and standards that govern day to day activities for the divisionEnsure special inspections and testing services resources are continually aligned to meet targets and address operational challenges while staying compliant with industry standards, regulations, and client specificationsOversee the planning, execution, and completion of inspection projectsDevelop and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and schedules      Ensure that objectives and key results are sufficiently detailed and clearly communicatedServe as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining strong, long-term relationshipsIdentify and pursue new business opportunities in special inspection servicesCollaborate with the marketing team to implement strategies to grow the department’s client base and launch new initiativesDevelop innovative initiatives to enhance our delivery and growth rateDevelop synergies with other Building & Real Estate businessDevelop cross selling and up selling opportunities to develop the customer valueContinually analyze and evaluate operations to identify deficiencies and prepare reports outlining recommendations for improvement to the Assistant Commissioner with an eye on efficiencyPerform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager
