Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Manchester, New Hampshire. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance of various accounting systems and ensuring the quality and accuracy of your work. Responsibilities: Oversee the bi-weekly processing of company payroll. Handle daily transactions in the Accounts Payable System. Conduct daily transactions in the Accounts Receivable System. Manage transactions in the General Ledger. Oversee transactions involving daily sales, preproduction reporting, and inventory. Ensure the quality and accuracy of all work. Utilize organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Apply knowledge of Payroll, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and basic General Ledger (GL). Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. Undertake the processing of customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements Possess at least one year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required Familiarity with General Ledger management Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries effectively Experience in executing Month End Close procedures Knowledge of Automated Payroll systems Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
