Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a diligent Accounting Specialist to join our team in Williston, Vermont. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and verifying invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders. You will also be tasked with executing payment runs, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining vendor files. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders Execute payment runs and reconcile vendor statements Maintain vendor files and resolve payment issues Assist with month-end closing activities Generate and distribute customer invoices Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue accounts Resolve billing discrepancies and process adjustments Assist with collection efforts Assist with financial reports and audits Participate in process improvement initiatives Perform other related duties as assigned Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting functions Process checks and handle accounts payable and receivable Perform billing functions using Great Plains (GPAC) software.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) Proficient in Microsoft Excel Understanding of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Billing Functions Knowledge of Check Processing Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or field.
