Facility Maintainence Technician

The Facility Maintainence Technician will be responsible to assist in general upkeep of the building as well as repair and preventative meintainence of the equipment on site.  The role may also require assistance in building construction and modifications made to laboratory.  The technician can be expected to assist in the preperation, overhaul and testing of certain flammability tests on site.JOB FUNCTIONSMaintain and troubleshoot testing equipment with regular preventative maintainence and repairs as needed.Maintains building maintaince issues with any utilities, or structure.  Oversees external service providers that may be required for additional repairs or enhancements.Assist in set up, overhaul, and testing of various flammibility tests under the direction of the lab managerConducts regular walk throughs of the building to  assure equipment and related fixtures are performing safely, effectively and efficiently.Provides feedback on status of building and machines in regards to safetyTest pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution
