Manufacturing Operator

Follows quality and safety standards to manufacture and ship plastic products. Successful individual performs job dutiesincluding material preparation, standard tool-set-up and operation of plastic injection molder, quality inspections, packing and shipment of products. Other duties may be assigned:Maintain accurate documentation of all processes and manufacturing orders.Work closely with Engineering to develop/improve processes, lean manufacturing, flow, and quality.Maintain the highest standard for quality throughout the manufacturing and packing process.Work in an organized, safe manner according to written procedures.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThere are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger such as with a computer, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Expected to use light to moderate physical effort including bending, squatting, twisting, reaching and climbing and lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds along with lifting or with other means transfer of tooling, parts, containers and raw materials. In addition, they are required to operate a fork lift for tool and material movement as well as package preparation. They must regularly sit or stand, reach and move about the facility. Visual skill is required including depth perception, color discrimination, and peripheral vision. During particular operations use of personal, protective equipment is required.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The primary duties of this job are on the manufacturing floor and warehouse. Employees are required to don proper personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: warm room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a ty ical office environment and general shop elements such as noise, moving parts, dust and fumes but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
