In this role, you will support our financial services strategy and define architecture for integrating these new Ford Credit services with external platforms as SaaS solutions. This includes evaluating alternatives, creating secure enterprise solutions, and detailing out integrations using cloud native technologies on GCP. It requires a strong experience in Business and Solution Architecture and a deep understanding of cloud native technologies on Google platform, a strategic, progressive mindset, and the ability to solve business challenges.Ford Motor Credit Company is on its journey to grow its portfolio and modernize its legacy applications and platforms to transform the business, improve customer experiences for enhanced regulatory compliance & operational efficiencies as a captive finance company. This requires new growth opportunities and rearchitecting our Customer Experience platforms, Domain Services, Risk Analytics Platforms, and Data Platforms to Unified, Modern, Scalable & Secure solutions on Google Cloud.We are looking for an experienced Architect to join our US based Enterprise Architecture team to lead the build-out of new financial capabilities. The person in this role is expected to work closely with other stakeholders (Engineering, Product, and Business teams) with key responsibilities to:

Develop an in-depth understanding of the scope of these financial services and lead the development of Future State Architecture based on business capabilities.

Lead evaluation of design options, tools and utilities to build implementation patterns using Google Cloud services

Create solution architecture following Ford standards and gain alignment with stakeholders considering user experience, business processes, data models, system integration and security with emphasis on well-architected applications

Collaborate with program managers to plan iterations, backlogs and dependencies across all workstream to progress program at required pace.

Provide consultancy related to Design Patterns, Technology choices and Implementation Patterns and remove Roadblocks for the Engineering teams

Drive adoption of standardized architecture, design and quality assurance approaches and lead Architecture reviews and key architectural decisions

Provide advisory and technical consulting across all initiatives including product evaluations and recommendations, security, architecture assessments, integration considerations, etc.

Create solution for complex data integration and transformation requirements using cloud native services.

Support Engineering teams for technical spikes, production outages and performance issues.

Collaborate with product team to understand business requirements and design solutions

Design microservices solutions following twelve factor principles and Ford enterprise standards.

Work with Ford Security and SRE teams to create security architecture based on Ford policies and industry best practices

You'll have

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

Google Professional Cloud Architect certification preferred.

5+ years of relevant work experience in business and solution architecture, with deep understanding of cloud hosting concepts and implementations.

Experience in migrating legacy applications to Cloud platform and business adoption of these platforms

Knowledge of enterprise frameworks and technologies. Strong in architecture design patterns, experience with secure interoperability standards and methods, architecture tools and processes.

Strong understanding on DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), automated testing & deployment pipelines.

Good understanding of cloud security best practices and be familiar with different security tools and techniques like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Encryption, Network Security, etc.

Experience with banking services (deposits, direct and indirect lending) is preferred

Understanding of microservices architecture

Ability to negotiate & influence key stakeholders

Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizing, and problem-solving skills
