Description Robert Half is seeking a Tax Planning Officer for a local NH company. This position is HYBRID and can work out of Concord, Hanover, West Lebanon, Hanover or a few other locations! Essential Duties
Preparation of tax and tax planning documents, correspondence and reports; prepare personal tax returns for review, tax organization and maintain files.
Process and answer incoming tax inquiries as necessary, including researching IRS or State notices received by the tax clients.
Assists with preparing a response for the accountant’s review, if applicable, and maintaining relationships with contacts and clients.
Works closely with and assists Financial Advisors with issues involving tax and tax planning activities and projects; Acts as a liaison with external auditors
Maintaining Policies and Procedures surrounding Regulatory Compliance
Act as a back-up for other tax reporting functions
Requirements
Prior experience in a similar role
Bachelors is a MUST
CPA or EA preferred but not required
Knowledge of tax return preparation and tax planning
Experience with client management
