We have a profound influence on the entire J&J Enterprise, providing innovative workplaces where our employees can collaborate and grow, and delivering flexible site solutions which enable our business to best serve our important customers and patients.The Director, E&PD Technology Strategy, is accountable for the development and roll out of tools, systems, platforms, and processes that will support the acceleration of project delivery and overall technology excellence of our facilities within the Engineering & Property Services Organization. This role will lead the PD Technology Optimization team and support the roll-out of standards, implementation of systems, and overall lifecycle excellence of our digital project delivery execution.Additionally, this role will be integral in working with our E&PS Data and Systems team and our JJT partners to support the implementation of our systems roadmap standardization, systems design, defining appropriate system governance structures, and data input/output standards across project delivery.This role is responsible for furthering stand up of our Digital Twin model. The main areas of focus to support across project delivery are: Building Information Modeling (BIM), Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) and Project Delivery Documentation management to support the cost effectiveness and acceleration of project delivery.The role is responsible to support an industrialized, project delivery process that contains reusable/scalable digital design standards, while increasing facility efficiency through best-in class tool implementation, reduce design/construction changes through technology, and transition from “handover” to a seamless integration solution.The overall goal of the role is to elevate J&J to become the industry benchmark on innovation through digital project delivery excellence by enabling a full digital twin on physical assets globally.A suitable candidate for this role will have experience with common E&PS applications and data types, including, but not limited to, Project Delivery, Facilities Management, and Real Estate systems, as well as, project delivery knowledge and expertise.Key role relationships require collaboration with regional/corporate E&PS teams, business IT, and other corporate J&J functions to effectively implement operational and governance related aspects across E&PS scope.Key Responsibilities:

Serve as single point of contact (SPOC) regarding E&PD Technology strategy.

Develop and manage multi-year E&PD Technology strategy portfolio roadmap.

Own the E&PD Technology strategy in coordination with E&PS Data & Systems team, JJT and other relevant functions (e.g., Finance, EHS), and E&PS Leadership; enable the delivery of strategy to regional E&PS organizations.

Ensure the PD Technology Team supports required standards, processes, and tool/system/platform governance.

Lead the development and implementation of three key strategic pillars of the PD Technology Strategy:

Building Information Modeling (BIM). Lead the transition from 3D BIM excellence to 7D BIM readiness. Ensure an effective utilization of BIM technology in all stages of capital project delivery, from concept through to handover and ongoing operation.

Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q). Lead the global implementation and deployment of a standard, paperless and risk-based C&Q process and technology.

Digital Documentation. Lead the global implementation of a digital capital project documentation standard to support a paperless project environment and the development of digital, scalable designs of key process equipment and infrastructure modules.

Propose and manage projects related to PD technology, including tracking costs, assessing resources, and achieving deadline requirements.

Coordinate closely with J&J business sectors and global functions to gain input to and alignment with the PD Technology Strategy recommendations including, as required, commitment to funding and resources.

Collaborate with the key J&J functions (e.g., JJT, finance, EHS, etc.), business partners and external suppliers to establish an effective line of communication and collaboration between all key stakeholders.

Implement online environments to support the orientation and training of E&PS staff in the key elements of the PD technology strategy.

Deliver a standardized and balanced approach to PD Technology governance and reporting.

Effectively work with E&PD senior leaders to communicate the status and progress of the PD Technology effort to the E&PS LT and other key stakeholders.

QualificationsEducation:

University/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Degree in a STEM field including, but not limited to: Engineering, Life Sciences, or other relevant field is required.

Multiple and/or elevated degree(s) is preferred.

Experience and Skills:Required:

Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience with engineering design and construction including knowledge of AutoCAD Systems.

Minimum of five (5) years of related project management experience.

Experience in E&PS business related systems/tools such as SharePoint, Document Management systems, CMMS, MS Project, Project Management Processes and/or Property Management Tools.

Experience in data management and visualization systems such as Power BI and/or Tableau.

Solid project management skills, proven organization, coordination, and action tracking skills; including project management processes, tools, and methodologies.

Strong business acumen and relationship building skills.

An ability to effectively partner and deliver results in a matrixed environment.

An ability to adapt emerging standard methodologies and industry innovations to E&PS business needs.

Ability to function effectively and multitask when presented with tight deadlines.

Excellent technical and analytical skills.

Deep understanding of our E&PS infrastructure and business-related operations.

Preferred:

Experience building strategic relationships with internal and external project partners and stakeholders.

Global experience of J&J with respect to E&PS and business partner interaction.

Experience managing complex workstreams, specifically across geographically dispersed teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Other:

Proficiency (both oral and written is required) in the English language is required

This position will require up to 25% domestic and international travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950.

The anticipated base pay range for this position, in the Bay Area, is $163,000 to $281,750.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

– Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year– Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year– Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year– Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
