Position Overview:KIPP NYC is looking for teachers who combine the ability to motivate and educate, develop academic and character skills, and make a college preparatory education relevant both now and for the future. The ideal candidate will strongly commit to fostering a love for art among growing learners, encouraging exploration of various mediums and techniques, and nurturing students' artistic skills. This role involves engaging students in meaningful art experiences that promote creativity, self-expression, and appreciation for the arts.Duties and Responsibilities:General responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Teaching a rigorous college preparatory curriculum which combines the school’s standards and the New York State standardsTeaching students in a high-quality, exciting wayCommitting to constant professional and personal growth through working closely as part of a team of teachersUsing data to drive decisionsConstantly assessing student progress, and communicating results to families and colleaguesProviding individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistanceModeling a “whatever it takes” spirit to ensure that each student is successful.Modeling the school’s values in all communications with students, families, and staff
