Assisting Sales and Ticket M anagers with processing of group tickets, including printing and reconciliation.

Coordinates all recreation an d ski area groups and works closely with Ticket and Sales Managers .

Assists with the development o f innovative programs, coordinates and implements activities for special events, social programs, and corporate groups .

Work with Competition Manger on organizing and implementing ski races .

Maintains communications with all departments throughout the resort regarding groups and special events, working closely with Ski ops, Sales, Banquet and Set-up departments to ensure smooth, properly scheduled events.

Responsible for the creation and implementation of summer and winter events, theme weekend s .

Handles all phone calls and inquiries from guests in relation to special events.

Works closely with the Executive Team and the Marketing Department for planning, marketing and promoting all activities and special events, flyers, signage and posters.

Initiates and completes mailings for event information, promotion and registration.

Responsible for generating Banquet Event Orders, spec sheets, agendas, check requests, special lodging requests and all other necessary paperwork for activities and special events.

Maintains files for each special event, including lectures, artists, entertainers, etc.

Maintains an inventory of props, supplies, signage, and eq uipment used for special events .

Assist with updating spec sheets for recreation and events, releasing and distributing information resort wide.

Evaluates and summarizes each special event and follows up with the appropriate executives in a timely and accurate manner.

Works in all areas of the Recre ation Department as needed.

Attends all activities and events meetings.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Coordinates all special events for year-round planning and programming.

QualificationsHotel Specific Essential Functions: Works to create relationships with outside vendors and local businesses Tools and Equipment:

Computer and printer, typewriter, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, facsimile machine

College Diploma, or 2 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education.

Event promotion/implementation and/or Marketing experience preferred.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills.

Must provide excellent service to internal and external customers.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must be attentive to detail.

Must have the ability to adapt to unexpected situations

Must be punctual and reliable

Must be able to remain calm and portray a friendly demeanor in stressful situations

Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Must be able willing to work in unfavorable weather conditions

Working Environment:

Subject to working in a crowded environment, long periods of walking and standing, indoor/outdoor weather conditions, long periods of computer work.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and pull and push up to 50 lbs.

Equipment to be used includes, but not limited to: computer, fax machine, copier, scanner and digital camera.

Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and holidays.
