Incumbents function as first line supervisors who repair, inspect, and maintain an assigned facility. Incumbents will function as the liaison between the Facility Manager and sub-contractors working in the building as directed. Incumbents will evaluate the performance of contractors and review completed work. Incumbents may coordinate and monitor services performed by multiple vendors as directed by the Facility Manager. Incumbents identify current and future maintenance and construction needs, research cost data and prepare project budgets; walk or communicate with regulatory agencies regarding compliance with building codes and safety, health and environmental regulations; conduct safety inspections and develop and implement procedures for asset preservation as directed. Two years of the experience must have included supervision of skilled trades workers and semi-skilled workers; OR one year of experience as a Facility Supervisor II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Special RequirementsPursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety.
