In this role you will be responsible for assembling packaging components, partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing various duties.
This position will report to the: Warehouse Supervisor
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
What You’ll be Responsible For in this RoleEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Positions parts according to knowledge or unit being assembled
Fastens parts together with tapes, glues, staples or other fasteners
Inspects all products to ensure they meet customer requirements
Authority and Responsibility:
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system
Initiate, recommend, and provide solutions through designated channels
Verify the implementation of solutions and control further process or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
Safety Expectations:
Be responsible for safety awareness in all jobs to help eliminate injuries to yourself and your co-workers
Learn and follow all safety requirements – failure to do so will results in disciplinary actions
Constantly check for safety hazards and ensure problems are rectified promptly
Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Report to work fit for duty and not affected by alcohol, drugs, medications or other harmful influences
Actively participate in safety improvement activities
Report any unsafe practices by co-workers or contractors
Immediately report all injuries and other safely incidents
What We’re Looking ForMinimum Qualifications:Education and Experience:
High School graduate or GED equivalent with basic Math and English skills
No prior experience or training
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, materials safety data sheets, and procedure manuals
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
Multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple uninvolved written and oral instruction
Able to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
