The position designates security resources to ensure the protection of the company’s people, property, information and reputation. Duties include access control coordination duties, including the establishment of work assignments, priorities, and activities. Assumes direct accountability for program results, effectiveness and compliance with policies, rules, and procedures. Serves as the primary PENA Visitor Management System Administrator and coordinates all visitor badging activities via the Badging Associates.Essential Duties:

Oversee the planning, management, and coordination of access control related operations; hold responsibility for access card and key security, inventory control, database management, electronic products system management, supervision, vendor/contractor management, and the overall management of the company access and key control program

Operate and ensure the proper administration control of equipment designed for the management of access control, badge issuance, and access levels.

Monitor compliance with the established rules and regulations.

Manage the company Badging Team, and office charged with badge support of all employees.

Process access control and other related administrative support as required.

Operate and maintain manual and computer-based access control on other computer-related systems, databases, and equipment.

Assist staff for processing of individuals into the secured facility.

Provide support to after-hours functions as directed.

Oversee the installation of new access control devices along with the scheduled and remedial maintenance of installed devices

Stay informed of emerging access control technology such as new hardware, software, and management tools relating to access control, facilities, access card and key control.

Oversee the Key Management System, maintaining proper key control for the facility

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PENA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Basic/Required: BS/BA/AD Degree preferred with 2+ years relevant security experience.

Preferred: None

Essential Qualifications:

In lieu of BS/BA Degree, 3+ years of relevant experience and with Associate Degree reduced to 2+ years of relevant experience.

Security/Safety Professional certifications preferred.

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Qualifications:

People management/communication experience, including the ability to:

Work effectively on teams

Build strong relationships

Influence others

External Contractor/Vendor management experience.

Program and Project management experience.

In-depth, administrator level, experience with access control systems and video management systems

Demonstrate ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments, and effectively manage deadlines.

Have an advanced knowledge understanding of computer networks
