Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Environmental Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Technician, you will play a crucial role in our operations by providing exemplary customer service while handling hazardous materials. This position involves collecting, transporting, and disposing of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of hazardous waste while maintaining strong relationships with our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service while interacting with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns regarding hazardous material disposal.
Safely collect, packaging, and transport hazardous materials from client sites to designated disposal facilities.
Adhere to all relevant environmental regulations and company protocols to ensure compliance and safety throughout the disposal process.
Maintain accurate records of waste collection, transportation, and disposal activities.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members and management to optimize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in environmental management practices.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in environmental science, chemistry, or related fields preferred.
Previous experience in hazardous material management, waste management, or related environmental services is advantageous.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices for hazardous material handling and disposal.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
