The Snowmaking and Snow Removal Supervisor is a key leader within the Mountain Operations department, supporting both the creation of man-made snow and the critical upkeep of safe, accessible resort grounds. This role combines hands-on operational work with leadership, scheduling, payroll, and administrative oversight.
While this position supports both snowmaking and snow removal efforts, the primary focus will be on overseeing snow removal operations at Boreal/Woodward and Soda Springs Resort, ensuring that all walkways, roads, parking areas, and access points remain clear and safe during and after storm cycles. The Assistant Manager also helps oversee employee scheduling, payroll, and safety programs for both departments.
This is a Full-Time Year-Round position with full benefits and employee housing available starting at $325/month.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Snow Removal Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the snow removal team to ensure safe, clear, and accessible areas throughout the resort, including walkways, roads, parking lots, entrances, and exits.
- Create storm cycle–based work schedules for all snow removal operators.
- Ensure operators are completing daily equipment safety inspections and reporting issues promptly.
- Maintain round-the-clock coverage during active storm events to ensure guest and employee safety.
- Perform basic maintenance on snow removal machinery, including greasing components, topping off fluids (hydraulic, coolant, oil), tightening loose bolts, de-icing, replacing hydraulic lines, and assisting with tire chain maintenance and installation.
Snowmaking Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the snowmaking team and operations across resort terrain.
- Supervise snowmaking shifts, troubleshoot issues, and make real-time operational decisions.
- Start up and shut down snowmaking systems as needed.
- Operate snow guns, fans, compressors, and assist with setting up hoses and hydrants to maximize production.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure the team follows operational protocols at all times.
