Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Painter Apprentice to join our painting company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the art of painting and a strong work ethic, with previous experience in any construction trade being a valuable asset.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist experienced painters in preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings.
2. Learn and master various painting techniques, including brush, roller, and spray applications.
3. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of painting tools and equipment.
4. Protect surrounding areas and furniture from paint splatter and damage.
5. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
6. Help with the setup and cleanup of job sites.
7. Execute tasks with a keen eye for detail and precision to deliver high-quality results.
8. Collaborate effectively with the painting team to meet project deadlines.
9. Continuously develop painting skills and expand knowledge in construction and painting trades.
10. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in any construction trade is a plus.
2. Basic masking and prepping is required.
3. A strong desire to learn and grow as a professional painter.
4. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
5. Reliable and responsible, showing up on time and completing tasks diligently.
6. Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
7. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
8. Willingness to follow safety guidelines and best practices.
