Job Description:
The Electronics Technician position will support the daily production activities of a highly experienced crew of technicians, engineers, inspectors and quality assurance team. The candidate for this position will be responsible for the Testing and Electrical troubleshooting of FAA / EASA Instruments, Accessories and Radio Repair. (Must have a good understanding of electronic components and be able to troubleshoot basic electronic circuits).
Job Responsibilities:
Tester setup to perform electrical testing and electronic troubleshooting
Basic troubleshooting down to component level using oscilloscopes, DMM’s, signal generators and other test equipment.
Read and follow special test instructions, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling and testing
Apply knowledge of electronic theory and components to resolve test failures.
Perform data entry based on test results
Job Requirements:
Requires a minimum of 1yr electronics classes
Strong understanding of electronic circuits/components and the ability to perform electronic casualty analysis
Basic understanding of electronic test equipment
Experience in mechanical assembly and disassembly.
Must be able to work with electrical schematics.
Ability to effectively use electronic repair tools and testers.
Ability to effectively manage time and complete all tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Ability to work with mechanical schematics and drawings.
Experience in PCB repair including soldering and de-soldering of components.
Working Conditions:
Bench technician
Using small hand tools and electronic test equipment
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Work area has fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
Moderate to low noise level.
