We are a small company working in the firearms industry looking for someone to help with software. We have a lead software developer and are looking for someone to help them. This is likely a part time position for a few months/weeks and then hopefully will turn into a full time position relatively soon.
Necessary requirements:
Clean Criminal record / not be a person prohibited from possessing firearms
Comfortable working with police / military units and around firearms
US Citizen, with few exceptions (Federal Government Rules)
Willingness to adapt, problem solve and learn new skills
Ability to work under pressure with deadlines
Ability to work long hours in difficult conditions (Long range days, etc.)
Ability to travel several times a year
Desired Experience / Knowledge:
Knowledge/experience with Rust, Python, C, C
Knowledge/experience with computer science
Having worked with ML or AI hardware software such as Nvidia Jetson products or similar
Knowledge/experience with robotics
Prior military experience desirable
Education:
Computer science degree desirable but not necessary
Self taught or other forms of education are just as desirable
This position will not likely pay well initially but could turn into a well paid position for the right person relatively soon (months not years). We are more interested in someone who is the right fit with the right desires and motivation. Although the primary task will be software related, there will also be opportunity to work with CAD / CAM / CNC (5x) as well as additive manufacturing, firearms/gunsmithing and electrical engineering if there is a desire.
