Leasing Agent/Assistant Property Manager

Thank you for your interest in our available position! We are an established Property Management Company with over 20+ years in Commercial Real Estate and Multifamily Management.

Currently we are looking to hire (1) leasing agent/assistant property manager for a small portfolio of 140 Units across 4 properties.

We have a unique business model and currently do not focus on third party management but rather, focus is on properties that we have ownership stake in. The successful candidate will be responsible for leasing duties such as posting ads, taking calls, showings, taking/processing applications, move in paperwork, and basic leasing duties. Other tasks will include taking tenant phone calls, assisting with daily operations, monitoring delinquency and lease violations.

This position is perfect for the experienced leasing agent or assistant manager who is ready to grow their skills just a bit more to gain valuable experience and of course, a higher wage :)

Responsibilities and Objectives

Assists in the operations of several properties including resident satisfaction and retention, full resident life cycle activities (e.g., lease administration, rental collection and delinquency management) and property marketing in accordance with company standards.

Responsible for ensuring a high level of client customer satisfaction.

Creates strategic marketing plans to attract and retain residents

Regularly inspect the property to ensure the highest level of curb appeal, office and maintenance operations, and competitive market positioning.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Two years of property management experience is desirable but not required.

Prior experience in AppFolio or another equivalent property management system is desirable but not required.

Skills and Requirements

Ability effectively interact with residents, suppliers, other associates, and clients.

Ability to create a climate in which associates what to do their best by leading and communicating a shared vision with associates and providing coaching and development.

Ability to relay technical concerns with adequate detail, quickly and accurately.

High degree of initiative and problem-solving ability.

Intermediate level knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.

Ability to conduct and create business correspondence.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively and sensitively communicate information.

Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to cope and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.

Scheduling

Required to maintain a regular schedule.

Ability to travel between properties and to other local locations as needed

Environment

Exposure to environment typically found in an office building.

Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions (temperatures may vary depending on the weather in the different regions).

Exposure to noise, vibrations, atmospheric conditions, as well as working in confined or restricted spaces.

Potential exposure to communicable diseases through frequent contact with public.

Possible exposure to short-tempered or aggressive people.

Potential exposure to chemicals, electrical shock, heights, mechanical parts or machines, and fire.
