Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Paralegal to support our dynamic family law practice. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting our attorneys and clients in a variety of legal matters related to family law, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, property division, and more. As a Senior Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to utilize your extensive legal knowledge and organizational expertise to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our firm.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with attorneys to prepare, draft, and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence.

Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.

Assist with client communication, ensuring their needs are met and questions are addressed promptly and professionally.

Manage and maintain case files, documentation, and correspondence to ensure accurate and organized records.

Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings on behalf of attorneys.

Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.

Liaise with court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients in a courteous and professional manner.

Monitor deadlines and maintain a calendar to ensure compliance with court filing dates and procedural requirements.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior paralegals and support staff.

Stay current with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training in paralegal studies.

A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal in a family law practice setting.

Strong understanding of family law procedures, terminology, and legal principles.

Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using case management and document management software.

Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Paralegal certification preferred but not required.
