The Sheet Metal Shop Technician is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and modifying sheet metal components used in commercial roofing applications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets specifications and deadlines.

What You'll Do
Fabricate metal flashings, coping caps, gutters, downspouts, and other custom sheet metal components per shop drawings and specifications.
Operate brake, shear, roll former, and other sheet metal shop machinery safely and efficiently.
Measure and cut materials accurately according to project needs.
Inspect work for quality and accuracy; make adjustments as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
Assist with material handling, inventory, and delivery preparation as needed.
Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and project requirements.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably within commercial roofing.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications.
Proficient in the use of brake, shear, and other fabrication equipment.
Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Safety-minded and committed to following company safety policies.
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
