Ranch hand needed in Hazen (between Fernley and Fallon). This is a part time position possibly leading to full time. Starting pay $15 an hour in 90 days it moves to $20 and hour. If interested respond to this ad with your name and phone number.
Primary duties include:
- Walking horses (hand walk or to/from turnouts)
- Preparing and feeding grain/medications
- Cleaning stalls
- Blanketing horses during the colder months
- Mowing and trimming
- Fence repairs
- Building fences which includes digging post holes
- watering trees, plants and irrigating fields
- General ranch maintenance
Requirements:
- Must be capable of physical labor and walking several miles in a day
- Must be comfortable around horses
- Must be dependable
- Must have reliable transportation
- must be comfortable with horses and maintain a calm demeanor around them
- Friendly attitude and willingness to work.
