Job Summary
The Guest Service & Cleaning Manager is responsible for ensuring all guest units are cleaned and prepared to the highest standards prior to arrival. This role includes hiring and managing cleaners, scheduling cleanings via the Streamline software, and responding to guest needs. Additional responsibilities include overseeing deep cleanings, maintaining clean and organized laundry and supply rooms, reporting inventory orders, ensuring laundry is completed, and keeping the motel grounds clean and presentable.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure all rooms are thoroughly cleaned and guest-ready between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily
Learn and utilize Streamline software to manage and schedule cleanings
Hire, manage, and pay cleaning staff—you may keep the difference between cleaning payouts and what you pay your team
Respond to guest requests and handle minor in-stay issues in a timely and professional manner
Maintain high cleaning quality and address guest feedback when necessary
Coordinate and oversee deep cleanings after long stays or as scheduled
Ensure hotel grounds are clean and well-maintained
Oversee laundry completion and ensure laundry and supply rooms remain clean and organized
Putting in inventory order requests.

Compensation Structure
Guest Services / Grounds / Laundry Tasks:
$25 for the first 30 minutes of responding to guest issues (typically minor)
$30 if the issue exceeds 30 minutes
$25/hour after the first hour
$25/hour for grounds cleaning, laundry, and organizing
Standard Cleaning Rates:
Rooms 1, 5, 10, 11, TH = $30/unit
Rooms 2, 3, 8, 9 = $20/unit
Rooms 7A, 7B = $50/unit
Deep Cleaning Rates (long stays or scheduled):
Rooms 1, 5, 10, 11, TH = $40/unit
Rooms 2, 3, 8, 9 = $30/unit
Rooms 7A, 7B = $75/unit
Regular Cleaning (Daily/Turnover Cleaning):
This is the routine cleaning done daily or between guest stays.
Includes:
Making the bed with fresh linens
Emptying trash cans
Dusting surfaces
Cleaning and disinfecting the bathroom (toilet, sink, mirror, shower/tub)
Replacing used amenities (soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.)
Vacuuming or sweeping floors
Wiping high-touch areas (doorknobs, light switches)
Goal: Maintain cleanliness and presentation for new guests. We only do in stay cleanings upon request.

Deep Cleaning (Scheduled Monthly/Quarterly or Post-Construction):
A more intensive and thorough cleaning to maintain hygiene and prevent wear and tear.
Includes all regular cleaning, plus:
Washing walls, baseboards, doors, and ceilings
Pulling out furniture to clean underneath/behind
Cleaning light fixtures, vents, and AC filters
Steam cleaning upholstery, curtains, and mattresses
Sanitizing remote controls and less obvious touchpoints
Checking for and treating mold, re-caulking, checking for pests, or stains.
Goal: Restore room to near-original condition and address build-up that regular cleaning misses.

Availability during cleaning hours and as-needed for guest-related tasks
