Experience: Two years of medical assistant experience in an OB/GYN office or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.

Knowledge of medical practices and patient care
Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions
Ability to assist in a variety of common office procedures
Ability to take vital signs
Skill in developing and maintaining clinical quality assurance
Skill in identifying and resolving problems
Skills in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
Neat and well-groomed appearance and courteous, pleasant manner
Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to work at a fast pace
Punctual and reliable
Ability to maintain records and record test results
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergency situations
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively orally and in writing
Knowledge of basic arithmetic
Proficiency in the operation of a computer
Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
