The ideal candidate for this position is someone who wants to help people by way of their pets.

Family owned, one-doctor, veterinary practice (dog and cat only) is seeking a mature, reliable, and committed person to play a vital role as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. We are an established veterinary practice in Reno, NV and in need of the services of an experienced Licensed Vet Tech (at least three years) to Join Our Team. A LVT who is professional and looking for long-term, dedicated employment.

We value the trust of our clients when caring for their pets and provide them with transparent treatment and diagnostic plans.

Our focus is on overall, comprehensive pet health, healing, and wellness as well as relationships with pet owners. Our office is equipped with in-house equipment and pharmacy. Services span routine exams, dentals, urgent care, hospitalization during office hours, triage and most surgical procedures. Our office is the perfect place to apply your skill set supported by a strong team environment.

We are a veterinary hospital where you and your professional expertise are appreciated and respected. We contact our clients and follow-up with our patients, so that you are able to observe progress and realize how you help pets to strengthen people’s lives.

Requirements:

Dedicated to compassionate pet care and health.

Relationships - Empathy and care for our clients. Anticipating their needs, very often by simply listening to them.

Adept at IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, intubation, anesthesia induction and monitoring, radiographs.

Experienced and efficient at triage, dentals and dental radiographs, also monitoring hospitalized and post-operative patients

Passionate work ethic

Effective written and verbal communication skills with vet, coworkers, and clients.

Patient, instructive manner when discussing vet med topics with clients.
