FULL TIME DENTAL ASSISTANT WANTED Monday-Thursday 7:45 to 5 pm; 1 hour lunch
Are you passionate about providing exceptional dental care? This is a great opportunity for someone looking to break into the dental field, or if you’ve been in the dental field and are looking for an opportunity at a smaller family office, which is completely different from a corporate or clinic office. Our privately owned, single-dentist office is transitioning to a concierge care model (though we are still accepting a few major PPO plans) and is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team!
We pride ourselves on offering personalized, high-quality dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. As we move towards a fee-for-service model, we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to patient care and customer service. Our doctor has successfully trained several assistants over the last 19 years, effectively saving them the high cost of attending dental assisting school while cultivating skilled professionals. We foster a fun-loving environment where collaboration, positivity, and genuine support for one another are key to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Navigate patients through their dental work, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout the process
- Manage patient records and assist with scheduling
- Provide occasional support at the front office as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team-oriented environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive atmosphere
- Adaptability and a willingness to embrace change and growth within the team
- Attendance is very important to ensure smooth operations and patient care
