Join us at Lakeside Bar & Grill as a part-time server.
Weekends are a MUST as the schedule we are looking to fill is Friday evening 4pm-9:30pm, Saturday morning 8am-2:30pm, Sunday 8am-2:30pm and possibly Monday as well from 9am-3pm or 5pm-9:30pm.
We are looking for someone who has a professional, friendly, and welcoming, personality. Experience in the restaurant/ hospitality industry and service experience is preferred.
You must have a positive attitude, be dependable, be a team player and have a willingness to learn. Strong written and communication skills in English are necessary in ensuring a positive experience for our guests. This is a very fast paced environment as we have been a local staple in the community for over 20 years and have a loyal customer base. You must be able to move quickly, be sharp in a busy work setting, be able to carry multiple plates, drinks, etc. at a time, be able to be on your feet for 5-6 hours at a time, and be able to lift 25lbs.
You must be comfortable learning a P.O.S. system and have an up to date alcohol awareness card. There will be times where you may have to bartend your own drinks, as we do not have a designated bartender on day shift, so alcohol awareness and knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor is required. We will train you on our drink menu, so please don't worry if you don't have bartending experience.
Essential Functions:
1. Learn and refer to regular guests by their name.
2. Know the menu for your shift and be able to offer suggestions and provide guests with the specials.
3. Greet each newly seated table within 30 seconds.
4. Be prepared to take food orders at all times.
5. Completely serve table (check backs, refills, etc…).
6. Maintain your server work area (clean, stocked, etc…).
7. Perform side work throughout and at closing of your shift.
8. Practice safety at all times in the service of food and beverages.
9. Check for any duties that need to be done (napkins, special set-ups, etc…).
10. Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.
Compensation is $11.25/hr. plus incredible tips! Employees also receive 50% food whether you are working or come in on your day off for a bite and a free shifter.
