Position DescriptionAt a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aTest Engineering Supervisorto join theData Center Power & Control Division Teamin Reno, NV.Under general direction of the Sr. Operations Engineering Manager, the Test Engineering Supervisor will plan, schedule, coordinate, allocate resources and control processes for Automated Test Engineering Team and related projects. The Test Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for a team that supports all phases of production testing. The team is responsible for developing test scripts and for the automated testing process. The supervisor Interface with local and remote production testing including trouble shooting units under test and test equipment defects. The Test Engineering Supervisor ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently, and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures, and goals. The Test Engineering Supervisor as with all members of the Legrand Team, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality. What Will You Do?

Manage department budgets, staffing, reviews, and coordination of training and development.

Develop, monitor, and report on overall test engineering performance/metrics.

Coordinate, monitor, and manage projects to ensure timely completion.

Collaborate with a variety of functional areas in the org to make improvement and meet commitments.

Develop test specifications, scopes, and objectives of projects involving all relevant parties.

Analyze and monitor processes, resources, and documentation for successes and potential improvements.

Monitor and improve First Pass Yield testing.

Promote a positive attitude, positive relations, and a sense of urgency with coworkers and directs.

Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment and ensure correct use of equipment throughout.

Manage the design and maintenance of real-time test applications with hardware interfacing.

Manage providing real-time technical support to Production.

Manage creation of hardware test applications and fixtures for PCBs and finished goods in production.

Manage creation and maintenance of various Web and Win form database utilities and applications.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation:

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with emphasis in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

Preferred 5 years related experience, preferably in similar industry.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Test development and design.

Strong knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes.

Ability to successfully lead a team.

Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities to deadlines.

Project management and self-management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.

Good organizational skills.

Strong .NET or C/C programming, debugging skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/ Project).

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organization/planning skills and the ability to work independently.

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

.NET Framework, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, SQL (SQLite, MS-SQL), Version Control (SVN).

SQLite/SQL Server, SQL database development, maintenance, and analysis.

Windows Software PC Maintenance.

Experience with I2C, RS-232, RS-485, and USB protocols.

Able to read and interpret PCB schematics.

Familiarity with electronic components and electric circuits.

Experience working on live high voltage circuits.

Ability to use electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, meters, function generators, etc.

Networking skills and protocol knowledge.

Familiarity of ISO 9000 standards and audit process.
