The University of Nevada, Reno Libraries invites applications for a Student Success Librarian (tenure-track, Assistant Professor level). This position will focus on library outreach, engagement, and instruction to support diverse student populations and promote academic success across campus. The successful candidate will also serve as a subject or functional liaison, based on their expertise and interests. Reporting to the Director of Research and Instructional Services, the Student Success Librarian plays a key role in fostering student engagement and building partnerships across campus. This position involves active collaboration with campus programs, a strong commitment to service, and a passion for student-centered outreach and instruction.Faculty Role:

This tenure-track faculty position includes the following workload expectations:70% Librarianship15% Scholarly activity and publication15% Service (See more information on Libraries' Bylaws here: https://nevada.app.box.com/v/20210609UnivLibrariesBylaws )Key Responsibilities:Develop, deliver, and assess in-person and online library services supporting student success, particularly for early undergraduate and underserved populations.Partner with campus programs such as Dual Credit, Core Writing, Nevada FIT, and initiatives for first-generation, transfer, and international students.Serve as liaison to one or more academic or functional areas.Provide instruction to visiting high school groups.Create instructional materials to enhance students’ information literacy, including Canvas modules, online tutorials, and library guides.Deliver curriculum-integrated library instruction in collaboration with faculty.Offer research support both in person and online.Stay informed of trends in student success, outreach, and engagement; integrate innovative practices and technologies.Foster inclusive services that support students from diverse backgrounds.Participate in department-wide research assistance and outreach activities; collaborate with other library units as needed.Conduct scholarly research, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and present at professional conferences.Contribute to university and professional service through committee work and other activities.
