Description Michael Gardia with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Financial Analyst position for a gaming company in Reno. This is a great opportunity to advance through the organization and influence systems, procedures and the overall business! This position is one that truly touches all facets of the business. You will have direct interaction with General Manager, Assistant General Manager and entire C-Suite of the Company, will interface with gaming, purchasing, food and beverage, events, retail, sales and administrative staff members.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 3 years of experience. They are flexible about combination of degree and experience, but the work requires the ability to produce financials. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. SQL Experience is a plus, but at a minimum, requires experience in financial software. Analytical skills and the ability to make confident decisions are also required. Basic knowledge of procedures and principles and typing skill are a must.Requirements
Analyze gaming performance, food and beverage, retail outlets, hotel performance, events, promotions, and direct mail for the executive committee using available systems.
Reconcile accounts and review accounting entries to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate the annual budget process.
Provide statistical and analytical support for the development, implementation, and evaluation of all operational department programs.
Prepare weekly revenue reports, period and quarterly financial statements, and various recurring projects and reports.
Compute statistical data, analyze competitive positions and trends, and make analytical decisions as needed.
Establish a database of relevant financial information for projections and forecasts.
Provide return on investment analysis/reports for slot relocations, new game installations/removals, and conversions.
Maintain knowledge of applicable gaming laws (federal, state, and local), company policies, and internal controls (MICS).
