FormGrey Studio is a full-service architectural design studio whose clients include public agencies, non-profit and for profit multi-family developers, commercial and industrial developers and custom single-family, etc.
We operate in an open-studio environment – everyone sits at the same 40’-0” long x 6’-0” wide table. This facilitates the easy flow of ideas and information between all staff members and principals alike. While we expect our staff to remain focused and on-task, we feel that the studio offers an imminently supportive environment and is a pretty great place to spend 8 hours-or-so of your day.
We are looking for an experienced architectural project manager and/or licensed architect. In this role, you will be expected to preform all duties regarding the development, production, and management of professional architectural services commensurate to our region’s “standard of care”. We will also look for you to grow into acquisition of future projects as well. You will also be expected to work, as needed, on miscellaneous areas of the business including but not limited to: marketing and business development, and staff supervision.
You have a thorough understanding of Revit, along with a respectable understanding of current building codes (IBC, IRC, IECC et al.) as well as ADA, HUD, FHA and ANSI standards. You should be able to research development codes in various jurisdictions and incorporate those standards as required on a per project basis. While we are not looking for an expert where these topics are concerned, a general competency and familiarity with all of the above would be great (ie, if you don’t know the answer to something related to any of these topics, you at least know where and how to look for answer(s)).
