Quickly growing construction company specializing in Residential and Commercial projects in Northern Nevada and Northern California is looking for an experienced draftsman.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
1. Creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. We use Chief Architect
2. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and our team to ensure that construction plans meet design specifications and local building codes.
3. Reviewing project specifications and blueprints to determine design requirements and constraints.
4. Preparing and presenting drawings and plans to clients and key personnel.
5. Making modifications to designs as needed based on feedback from clients and stakeholders.
6. Maintaining accurate records of project drawings and revisions.
7. Working closely with City and County to advance the permitting process.
8. Participating in project meetings and providing technical support to project teams.
9. Staying up to date on industry trends and technological advancements in construction drafting and design.
Your experience should include a strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes. You should also have excellent computer skills and be proficient in CAD software. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also essential, as you will be working closely with architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the design process.
