Sierra Craftsman is a leading high-end custom millworks company located in Reno NV. We specialize in custom cabinetry and furniture in the greater Reno/Lake Tahoe area.
Position requires good communication and customer service skills with the ability to manage projects and timelines. Must be detail oriented with the ability to mitigate engineering conflicts. Full working knowledge of Cabinet Vision is a requirement.
Your primary job will be to take architectural drawings and transform them into full engineered and working shop drawings for submission, approval, and shop fabrication. You will be the main point of contact during shop production to manage any questions or production issues related to output and shop drawings. Must be a team player.

Requirements:
2+ years in the woodworking/manufacturing industry; preferably cabinetry (Cabinet Vision - 1st choice | AutoCad | Sketch-up or other)
Advanced knowledge of any CAD/CAM or Cabinetry design software
Proficiency in reading architectural drawings
Experience in mechanical drafting (CAD or Manual)
Must have high attention to detail
Proficiency in 2D and 3D renderings is a plus
Basic Tasks
Draft drawings for visual communication purposes (includes shop drawings, 3D models, part drawings, machining instructions and assembly diagrams).
Engineer products (decompose assemblies into constituent parts, assign materials and machining operations, develop processing sequences and assembly instructions, etc.)
Design projects / products to be efficiently engineered and fabricated according to SC standards.
Generate engineering releases (bill of materials, part lists, part drawings, panel optimization, material and laminating schedules). Work with production to develop efficient and streamlined production methods.
