Our Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse operation. Disciplines include staffing, planning, organizing and controlling one or more of our Fulfillment locations. You'll be responsible for providing a safe, secure, productive and cost efficient work environment and identify work assignments, methods, best practices and appropriate application of technology to meet business objectives and performance metrics. The warehouse manager will also oversee hiring, training, disciplining and scheduling warehouse personnel, and be accountable for inventory control, the receipt, storage, retrieval and timely and secure distribution of client materials.
Responsibilities:
Plans out all warehouse resources and activities in alignment with project objectives and targets
Plans for the development of the staff through effective training for subordinates
Ensures all health and safety requirements are met and maintains overall responsibility for the security of the warehouse personnel, facility and stock
Maintains reliable, accurate and timely reporting regarding receipts, inventory, shipping, damages, labor and equipment expenses.
Identifies and implements cost control measures across all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
Manages daily labor and shipping reports
Monitors, develops and implements productivity enhancements, methods improvements and development of the warehouse staff and processes
Motivates staff to meet daily challenges and deliver outstanding results
Manages local interface with common carrier representatives to execute pick-ups and deliveries
Understands retail shipping rules and regulations
Ensure that all shipments are processed in a compliant and timely matter
Requirements:
Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to properly exercise authority of the warehouse operations
Organized and process oriented
Strong people-to-people skills
The ability to effectively communicate with the staff and have excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to direct subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies
Demonstrate excellent quantitative skills along with overall analytical skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
The ability to work independently and with general guidelines
The ability to reason, deliberate and make solid decisions in the absence of guidelines
Maintain attention to detail in a fast paced environment
Strong work ethic
Be able to lift 75 pounds
Forklift Certification Required (1-2 years of forklift experience, preferred)
A bachelor’s or associates degree in preferred or a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership work experience in a warehouse environment
