What we are looking for…

VAST is looking for a Controller to join our fast-growing team! This unique position will provide the ideal candidate with experience in overseeing multiple client’s monthly financial statement review as well as analysis and onboarding of new clients to our firm!

What you may be doing…

Assisting VAST clients with planning and execution of financial strategy to help them reach the goals they have set for their business.

Providing qualitative financial analysis for VAST clients including benchmarks against which to measure the performance of their company.

Evaluation of current accounting operations for clients and provide VAST Leads with recommendations for improvement in workflow and work product.

Reviewing financial statements before release to client. Last person to perform quality check.

Managing relationships with the client and deliver the best possible customer service. This includes being responsive to client emails/calls and knowing when to intervene if a Lead needs assistance.

Ensuring that VAST Leads are managing deadlines to meet the VAST promise.

Guide, mentor, and train VAST Leads.

Communicating with the Tax Department if a client’s situation changes, to ensure adequate tax planning for our clients.

Responsible for setting the tone at the top and acting in line with the firm beliefs and characteristics – having a large role in setting the culture and team environment within the firm.

Support the Executive Team with the vision for the firm, revenue goals and strategic initiatives

Possess a “Do what it takes” attitude.

What you need to know…

5+ years of hands-on accounting experience

Financial statement/cash flow experience required

Able to manage multiple moving parts and meet deadlines

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Master’s degree or CPA preferred

Extensive knowledge of US GAAP

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills

Possess advanced computer skills in MS Office and accounting software
