Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The role involves a range of responsibilities related to accounts payable functions, including the processing of customer transactions, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. Responsibilities: Assign proper general ledger codes to match purchase orders and receiving with vendor invoices. Prepare and create checks from accounting software, ensuring they match voucher with checks. Maintain accounts payable files, particularly for vendors who have more than three checks out. Prepare and create all 1099 forms at year-end. Obtain W-9 forms on all vendors prior to first payment. Resolve vendor problems, including following up with past due statement balances. Conduct research on items concerning purchasing order and payment issues. Maintain accurate customer credit records. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable role within the manufacturing industry Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) management Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Account Coding procedures Experience in entering and maintaining vendor invoices Ability to maintain vendor files and manage vendor relationships Experience in processing vendor invoices Knowledge of Form 1099 and IRS W-4 Forms Ability to reconcile vendor statements Familiarity with Credit Card Payments, Electronic Payments, and Online Payments Experience in Payments Reconciliation, Post Payments, and Process Payments Knowledge of Positive Pay process Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
