Design Build General Contractor is seeking a New Construction superintendent to oversee all aspects of a residential construction project on-site, managing subcontractors, ensuring quality control, maintaining project timelines, and upholding safety standards throughout the building process, effectively acting as the primary on-site leader for the project to deliver completed homes according to specifications and within budget.
Key responsibilities:
-Project Management
-Review blueprints and project plans to understand construction requirements.
-Coordinate and schedule the work of various subcontractors, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
-Monitor project progress against the schedule and identify potential delays.
-Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality of work and compliance with building codes.
Site Supervision:
-Manage daily operations on the construction site, including assigning tasks to crew members.
-Oversee the delivery and proper storage of materials.
-Resolve on-site issues and conflicts between subcontractors.
-Ensure proper safety protocols are followed on the job site and address any safety concerns.
Quality Control:
-Perform quality inspections of work completed by subcontractors to identify defects and ensure compliance with project standards.
-Address quality issues promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.
-Communication and Collaboration:
-Maintain open communication with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and inspectors.
-Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
-Address concerns and questions from clients and subcontractors efficiently.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
-Monitor project budget and identify potential cost overruns.
-Work with subcontractors to optimize costs without compromising quality.
-Identify cost-saving opportunities where applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Hands on construction experience
