Summary and Scope
A Field Technician - IT will travel to contract job sites as directed and is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down temporary facilities. The duties include but are not limited to performing plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical, general IT installation, IT configuration, troubleshooting, administrative, laundry facilities upkeep, and ground maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and efficient job site.
Essential Functions
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain DR equipment.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain IT equipment including control panels, window/door sensors, alarms, etc.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain site equipment including Sanitrax, vac systems, pumps, etc.
Perform general maintenance functions for electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.
Perform ground maintenance and limited site work tasks as needed.
Perform equipment operation onsite as required (training will be provided).
Perform daily/scheduled maintenance checks and services on government equipment, company trucks and equipment.
Operate site equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, tractors, work carts, yard maintenance equipment, skid steers (training will be provided).
Assist with maintenance of water and wastewater systems on project site.
Repair company equipment as needed to maintain serviceable condition.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Specifications
Basic mechanical skills
General IT installation, configuration, and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools.

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
1+ year experience in a maintenance position, required.
1+ year IT installation, configuration, and troubleshooting required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb and stand. Lifting of up to 75 lbs. may occur. Employees will be required to travel (at organization expense) in automobile and/or aircraft. Expectation of exposure to weather (heat, cold, rain, snow) as operations occur in all areas of the country with potential for overseas travel.
Expected Hours of Work
This work is performed on an as-needed basis, and hours vary depending on contract needs. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones. Flexibility is required of all candidates for both scheduling and duties assigned.
Work Environment
This job operates in field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.
Travel
This position requires up to 100% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours’ notice.
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.
Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
