Global Resources & Supports is a mission-driven human service organization committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Chief of Staff to serve as the right hand to the CEO, supporting both strategic and operational objectives across the organization.

Position Summary:

The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner and trusted surrogate to the CEO, assuming key responsibilities in the oversight of mid-level managers, internal operations, and external stakeholder engagement. This individual must be adept at balancing administrative efficiency with clinical awareness, working closely with the CEO to ensure smooth organizational performance, especially in the CEO’s absence or while traveling.

This role is ideal for a professional looking to deepen their executive leadership experience within the human services or mental health fields while contributing meaningfully to a high-impact organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day oversight and support to program and departmental managers to ensure alignment with organizational goals

Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal teams, external partners, and governmental agencies

Assist in managing CEO’s schedule, priorities, and special projects—both professional and personal

Lead or support initiatives as directed by the CEO, ensuring timely follow-through and execution

Review operational procedures, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements

Represent the CEO in meetings, correspondence, and strategic planning sessions as needed

Maintain professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy in handling confidential matters

Support administrative tasks such as drafting communications, preparing reports, or coordinating events

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related human service field (required)

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the human services or mental health field

Demonstrated experience in staff oversight, operations, or project coordination

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders

Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Professional demeanor with a calm, confident presence, especially in high-pressure situations

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with cloud-based administrative tools

A solutions-oriented mindset and ability to anticipate organizational needs

Preferred Characteristics:

Leadership potential and interest in executive-level strategy

Experience working closely with senior executives or C-suite professionals

Positive, approachable, and collaborative personality

Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
