Production Artist
Motivational Systems, Inc., an established signage and graphics company, is currently seeking a Production Artist for our Las Vegas team. The Production Artist is responsible for the accuracy and quality of an art file for use in sign manufacturing. The Production Artist applies design changes and recommendations to each project while handling an array of projects at any given moment.
Primary Responsibilities of the Production Artist
Prepare final production-ready files based on supplied specifications.
Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during
production.
Provide image manipulation.
Create, weed, and apply vinyl to products using a vinyl plotter.
Troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative and the production team.
Make changes to product based on feedback from management and clients.
Meets with design and technical staff on projects, technical specifications, and deadlines.
Stays abreast of any industry-wide changes in design philosophy and any new tools and technologies being used.
Qualifications the successful candidate must possess:
Strong ability to effectively communicate with internal staff, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrates pride in their work and determination to finish the job.
Strong skills in organizing and working on several tasks concurrently, as well as in giving proper attention to details.
An eye for detail.
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator Creative Cloud.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficient in Microsoft Photoshop.
Must be able to run vinyl plotter, weed, and apply vinyl.
Clean driving record.
Possess 2+ years of experience within the signage industry.
Ability to lay vinyl in a controlled environment and in the field, as needed.
Experience with HP DesignJet Printer a plus!
