We are seeking a dynamic and motivated PT attorney experienced with contracts as well as employment law to work in tantrum with our CEO and HR department.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated attorney with a strong background in contract law and employment law to join our team. This position will work in close collaboration with the CEO and Human Resources department to provide legal oversight and guidance on a variety of matters, including contract drafting and review, regulatory compliance, risk management, and employment-related issues. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of balancing legal integrity with practical business needs in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

This role is ideal for an up and coming attorney or a retired attorney looking to still stay active in part-time legal work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Review & Drafting

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including vendor agreements, service contracts, leases, NDAs, and partnership agreements.

Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws and organizational policies.

2. Employment Law Compliance

Advise the CEO and HR on employment practices including hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, and other regulatory matters.

Assist in developing and updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures in compliance with federal and state laws.

3. Risk Management & Legal Counsel

Identify and mitigate legal risks across organizational functions.

Provide sound legal guidance on issues involving liability, dispute resolution, and general corporate compliance.

4. Training & Education

Provide legal training to HR and management on key employment law topics, policy implementation, and best practices to reduce legal exposure.

5. Internal Investigations

Lead or assist with internal investigations regarding employee complaints, grievances, or allegations of misconduct.

Prepare reports and documentation related to findings and recommendations.

6. Regulatory & Licensing Support

Support the organization in meeting legal and regulatory obligations for various licenses and certifications.

Monitor changes in relevant laws and advise leadership accordingly.

7. Collaboration & Strategy

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and HR on legal aspects of business decisions.

Participate in leadership meetings to align legal considerations with business goals.
