Responsibilities:
Using conveyor and order markers to accurately identify the lowest cost shipping lane
(verifying shipping Q manager selection) per shipper
● Using the notated details from shipping QC to confirm the small pack lane is actually the
lowest cost shipping lane.
● In Fedex/UPS / Mihlfeld system use below details to check pricing to specified order
location. If small pack is the desirable method (because it is the cheapest) complete
process of generating shipping labels, labeling packages, and moving to outgoing
shipment area.
○ Package Weight
○ Package Dimension
○ Writes in sharpie Sales Order Number for packaged product and serializing
boxes for each order (1 of 2, 2 of 2)
● Use SHIPPING (SHIP) in M2M to add overall shipment weight, number of boxes, freight
charge (if order calls out for prepaid & add) and Bill of Lading (tracking number).
○ In cases where “ship via” information must be updated to match customer
requests / terms / needs, the operator is to use customer based guideline.
● If a small pack conveyor item is less expensive shipped as freight, place conveyor items
in designated “re-route to freight” area, placing shipping packet into mailbox and putting
flag up.
● When needed, loads freight into carrier trailers with electric pallet jack
Qualifications:
Experience in shipping
Experience with computers
Not required but a plus if candidate has previously worked with UPS/FedEx shipping software
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Pay: $20/hour
