Licensed Spray Tech Needed - Encore Landscape

Position Overview: Encore Landscape Management is seeking an experienced and licensed spray technician to apply herbicides for our commercial and municipal contracts. This role involves both pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide applications.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

-Mix and apply herbicide products as per the label and fill charts.

-Use personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the job.

-Maintain a daily log of all chemicals used, including the amounts.

-Drive company vehicles safely and ensure all equipment is securely stored to prevent damage.

-Work independently and manage time efficiently.

-Purchase, handle, store, and keep an inventory of all chemicals as requested.

-Operate light to heavy vehicles, tools, and equipment for pesticide and lawn care functions, including trucks and sprayers.

-Apply pesticides as needed, considering weather and other variables, in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations.

-Ensure the safe and appropriate use of chemicals, mixing according to label instructions and product specifications, and adhering to safety precautions.

-Maintain safe working conditions on job sites at all times, following company safety guidelines.

-Perform other duties as required by business or weather needs.

Qualifications:

-Valid Nevada Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

-Must be able to drive and properly operate a truck and trailer with spray equipment daily

-Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in vegetation management

-Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and chemical uses.

-Equipment maintenance, calibrate and effectively operate spray equipment safely, and keep good records

-Ability to produce quality results consistently.

-Must be able to perform all functions of landscape annual spray work including inspections, taking samples, applications

-Certified Applicator license is required.

-Ornamental license (C1 Category/C6 Right of Way or both)

-Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions and information.

-Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

-Capability to safely operate and maintain all equipment used for spray applications.

-Must be able to work different shifts or weekends due to property needs, changes in weather, recommendations from the managers, or any other reasons for the scheduled shift

-Must be able to participate in employee training

-Must be professional, polite, and a team player

-This position is a full-time position from January - December. Hours are scheduled 8 hours per day.

Monday through Friday most times of the year. Weekend work will be scheduled as needed or

mandatory based on the work scheduled. OT is available based on the schedule.
