Job Description:
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Laborer to join our team for general labor and utility work in Las Vegas. We are a family owned telecom construction company based in SoCal beginning work in the Vegas area. Exact location TBD as we are waiting on the finalized WO's - so ideal candidates should be willing to commute.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clean and prepare construction sites, eliminating hazards
Assist crew with various construction tasks and operate equipment like compressors
Install pedestals, vaults, and assist with conduit and cable placement
Load, transport, and unload materials and equipment safely
Dig trenches, handle earthwork (removal, filling, compaction)
Mix compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces
Maintain equipment and perform site clean-up
Complete required documentation and other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Experience: Telecommunications construction experience highly preferred, general construction and/or utility labor experience also considered
Skills:
Ability to use hand tools and basic construction equipment
Ability to follow instructions and work with a team
Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to different tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background check and drug test)
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
Able to stand/work for long periods, bend, squat, and perform physical tasks
Ability to work in various settings with moderate to loud noise levels
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Range: $18 - $25 per hour (depending on experience)
