Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Demolition Laborer to join our restoration team, focusing on properties affected by fire and water damage. The ideal candidate will have experience in safely dismantling structures, removing debris, and preparing sites for restoration, all while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
● Structural Demolition: Safely dismantle and remove damaged building components, including walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures, using hand and power tools.
● Debris Removal: Clear and dispose of debris resulting from fire and water damage, ensuring the site is clean and ready for restoration efforts.
● Hazardous Material Handling: Identify and handle hazardous materials such as asbestos, mold, and lead-based paint in compliance with safety guidelines.
● Site Preparation: Set up containment areas to prevent the spread of contaminants and protect unaffected areas during demolition.
● Equipment Operation: Operate machinery and tools required for demolition tasks, ensuring proper maintenance and safety checks.
● Collaboration: Work closely with restoration technicians, project managers, and other team members to ensure efficient project completion.
Qualifications:
● Experience: Prior experience in demolition, especially related to fire and water damage restoration, is preferred.
● Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various environmental conditions.
● Safety Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
● Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30, asbestos abatement) is a plus.
● Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report progress or issues.
Working Conditions:
